Mrs. Brotman's Kindergarten Class is
"Classroom of the Week"

Mrs. Brotman’s All-Stars”

The kindergarteners have been having a ball and keeping very busy in Room 6. We spent the first month of school getting to know each other. We learned that we are each special in our own way. As a class, we have been learning to work together cooperatively. The children have been exploring, learning, creating, and reading during center time. We are all readers and love to shop for “just right” books. We are all authors and even published our first stories. We have been learning how to be good citizens. Mr. Sinanis is teaching us how to be “Bucket Fillers.” We are learning how to BE POSITIVE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE KIND and BE SAFE. When we are kind to each other and make others smile, we are “filling buckets.” Our class loves meeting with our fifth grade buddies. We enjoy talking, laughing, and sharing experiences with our friends. We are so happy to finally be able to buy lunch. We are “experts” at placing all the food on the trays and then balancing them back to our lunch table. Our trip to Green Meadows Farm was a special way to end October and celebrate Halloween. The children were able to learn about farm animals first hand. The children were invited to hold the chickens and chicks, go on a hayride, milk a cow and pick a pumpkin. When we returned from our trip, the excitement continued. We enjoyed delicious cupcakes and created a special craft during our “spook”tacular party. We had a great start in kindergarten. We are excited about the learning, laughing, and creating that will happen in the months ahead! You make us smile! ?
