Computer Class is "Classroom of the Week"
The
computer lab is such a busy place! We are very fortunate to have
2 computer labs at
Cantiague.
In our original lab, Mrs. Kalish, the computer teacher, along
with Mrs. Andrews, the computer assistant, help students in grades
K and 1 every week for 40 minutes, and students in grades 2 - 5 every
other week for 80 minutes. In the second lab, teachers can sign up
to work on classroom generated projects. Our students use many different
programs like, Powerpoint, Hyperstudio, Microsoft
Publisher,
to name
a few.
Third
graders start
their keyboarding unit in the spring with Ultra Key, where they learn
how to keyboard using the correct posture and finger placement. As
you can see by the below pictures, the computer lab is a busy place
where students explore, create
and learn! |
