Mrs. Hammerman's Kindergarten Class is "Classroom of the Week" |
The kindergarteners in Room 5 are enjoying making new friends and participating in exciting activities. The kindergarten students created their own Cantiague Constitution in honor of Constitution Day. We discussed how important it is to be kind to our friends, and follow school rules every day. Our Cantiague Constitution is displayed in the kindergarten hallway for all to see. Our class selected a tree in our playground area which we will observe for seasonal changes. The children voted on the best name for the tree, and ‘Leafy’ was selected. Every few weeks we will visit ‘Leafy’ and make entries in our tree journal. Meeting our 5th grade buddies is something we always look forward to. In honor of Columbus Day, we loved exploring the Cantiague School with our buddies. We discovered many interesting things about our school that we never noticed before. In honor of ‘Tt’ week, we read the book, Aaron’s Shirt, and then designed original T Shirts with our 5th grade friends. Of course our Halloween parade is always a highlight of our school year. As you can see, the happy children in Room 5 are very busy!
