Miss Weisblack’s Mickey Mouse Club is having a marvelous time in kindergarten. The mouseketeers have been busy making friends and learning the routines. In conjunction with our farm unit, last week we had a wonderful time on our class trip to The Green Meadows Farm. The children went on pony rides, milked a cow, fed the sheep, played with the pigs, and went on a hay ride. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we have been discussing things that we are thankful for. After we brainstormed, the children created a fantastic four square based on four things they are most thankful for. We love math in Room 6! We have been working on creating picture graphs and bar graphs. With our buddies, we created a Halloween candy picture graph after sorting through different kinds of candy corn. Also, we read the book, Chrysanthemum, by Kevin Henkes, and then graphed how many letters are in our names. As you can see, we are busy little bees in kindergarten!
