Memorable Actvities in Health 2010

Health class 2010 was definitely one of the more memorable classes. Mrs. Romano was a great teacher. I feel like she still taught me a lot even though we didn’t do lengthy class lectures or constant homework. Even so, through her PowerPoints, handouts, videos and demonstrations, we were still able to learn many things we already didn’t know. She actually made learning bearable for a high school student. Mrs. Romano was very nice, but she still had a fair grading method. For the students who took the class as a joke and didn’t do the work, it would show up on their report card and drop their average. For the kids who actually cared about their grade and did the work, they were rewarded with high averages. What I didn’t like though is when there was a substitute teacher. We had to do textbook work that took most, if not all period. I felt like I learned more through Mrs. Romano’s teaching methods than textbook work. (Which is a little odd, but that’s how great a teacher Mrs. Romano is!) My favorite assignments/activities we did in class were: Intervention episodes, the drunk goggles activity, and the falling stars project.
