Jericho Middle School's Annual Diversity Day

Tuesday March 16, 2010
organized by Ms. Elisa Waters - Diversity Club advisor

"So powerful is the light of unity, that it can illuminate the whole earth. "

-Bahá'u'lláh

The above quote was the inspiration for this year’s Diversity Day theme “ILLUMINATE”. Diversity extends well beyond race and ethnicity. It can be noted in other forms such as religion, national origin, native language, socio-economic class, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation, interests, opinions, politics.... This year’s show was designed to illuminate and educate our school community about the diversity that exists in Jericho and around the world. The goal of the show was to give us all a chance to stop and think about what each of us has to offer the world and about the many components that make us individuals of value. Congratulations and thanks to all of the Diversity Day participants.
