National Geography Bee!

On Friday, January 6, 2012 the finals and championship
rounds of the National Geographic Geography Bee took place in the
auditorium during an assembly for the entire Jericho Middle School.
There were ten finalists on stage from the seventh and eighth grades.
The finalists, the runner-up, and the champion received certificates,
awards, and keepsake memorabilia on stage. The champion, FengKai
Xu, will take a written state test to qualify for the New York
State Bee in March, and possibly the national-level geography bee
in May, down in Washington D.C. The runner-up during the champion
round was Marissa Blaine. Congratulations to all the finalists
of this special event!
