Mardi Gras in Jericho Middle School!
On April first, French students had a special lunch filled with French foods and traditions such as crêpes, quiches, croissants and more. Eight grade sutdents made King's cakes which were served at the lunch. Classes worked hard and took part in a door decorating competition which made some heads turn! The entire student body then took part in an assembly where there was music and a video. The students then paraded through the school with masks, hats, and costumes led by a marching band and ended in the gym where a faculty versus student hockey shootout took place. Our Mardi Gras hockey shootout winners were Team Canada. It is sure to be a day to remember for Jericho Middle School students and staff!
